Properties
Technical product is white powder, with a slight phenolic odor. M.p. 140.5, V.p. 1.86*10-2mPa(25,OECD 104). Solubility in water 311(pH 1), 20031(pH 5),mg/l, 25In ethanol 1250, diethyl ether 243, all in g/kg , 20Insoluble in petroleum oils. 2,4-D is a stong acid, and forms water-soluble salts with alkali metals and amines.
Uses
Post-emergence control of annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds in cereals, maize, sorghum, grassland and on non-crop land at 0.28-2.3kg/ha. Control of broad-leaved aquatic weeds.

Acute oral LD50 for rats 639-734 mg/kg.
